Update on Henry Cooper

A quick update for those who’ve been following the story of our young Wallaby Joey (known as “Henry Cooper”).  As you may remember Henry Cooper is being hand-reared by the Animal Care Team after having been rejected by his mother (her pouch lost its elasticity and he kept falling out).  The good news is that he’s doing really well, has a shiny coat and is putting on weight!  Henry still spends most of his time tucked up in blankets inside a ‘daypack’ that simulates his mother’s pouch, but has become quite active in the evenings – trying out his long legs and experimenting with his jumping style!

I snapped this image yesterday.  There’s cute and then there’s Henry Cooper …….
