Update on our Hawaiian Goslings!
Take a look at how much our first group of Hawaiian Goslings have grown! They are currently being cared for by the Keepers and have very cheeky personalities!
Earlier this week we had some more exciting news as another group of goslings hatched out! These ones are being looked after by Mum & Dad in a special safe pen until they are big enough to go out into the park!

Shoresearch 2014 Season has Begun!
Each summer the team at the Hampshire and Isle of Wight Wildlife Trust runs a series of surveys called Shoresearch, which aim to record and study the marine life of our local shores.
These surveys not only helps to increase our overall knowledge and understanding of our local marine environment but also helps to identify and monitor changes that may affect the marine life e.g. climate change, invasive species and local developments.
Some of the keepers here at the park are involved in Shoresearch and more volunteers are always welcome!

Meet Merlin- Our First Junior Wildlife Experience of the Season!
The team were joined yesterday by Merlin for the first Junior Wildlife Experience of the 2014 season!
He is on holiday with his family this week, and after visiting the park on Wednesday he decided to come back the very next day for his wildlife encounter!
It was an absolute pleasure taking Merlin around to meet all the cheeky characters, as he had lots of enthusiasm, interest and some great questions for the keepers!
When asked what his favourite animals were he said Jacob- our adorable Albino Wallaby and Dippy our famous Humboldt Penguin!
He was also very excited to see his picture posted onto Dippy the Penguins own Facebook page! (www.facebook.com/DippySeaview)
If you are interested in taking part in a wildlife encounter of your own, why not check out our website for more information:

Beautiful Willow at the Lower Lake
The Willow Trees down at the Lower Lake have just started to sprout their brand new leaves making for a spectacular sight.
The lush green of the trees looked stunning against the water and the blue sky that we had yesterday, so the keepers took the chance to snap some photos!
Late afternoon at the park is a wonderful time for practicing photography as there is a peaceful atmosphere and the sunlight is perfect!
