LETTER OF THE WEEK
I visited you again, yesterday(Friday),and once again had a thoroughly enjoyable day.I have been lots of times over the years, bringing my son when he was a child,he is now 27!!!
There is something for old and young,I brought a friend along who is nearly 80,and he had a lovely day.
Your keepers are amazing, will answer any question with full confidence.A special mention to the guy who was feeding the meerkats.I am sure I kept him well beyond his time slot with my questions, but he answered with patience,as though I was the only visitor there. They are a credit to you.
The cafe food looked amazing,I didn't indulge, but my friend had apple pie which he said was delicious.
I don't know whether you know, but we found a ladies handbag on the seat next to us in the cafe, and we handed it in.There appeared to be a purse inside.Do you know if anyone claimed it,I hope so.
Once again, thanks for a lovely day, special kiss for 'Dippy'.
Kind regards,Cherry.

LETTER OF THE WEEK
Dear everyone at Seaview,We visited the park on Weds 16th May for a Penguin encounter. Just wanted to thank you very very much for a brilliant day! The encounter for the two of us was a Christmas present so we had been counting down the days to our visit for some time!
We both thoroughly enjoyed our day meeting Dippy and his friends. Please also pass a special thank you to Jules and Fern for looking after us so well. We learnt so much about the penguins and had a superb time feeding and interacting with them all. We were able to relive our day all over again when we returned home at the weekend & got to look through the brilliant CD of photos of our time.
We were also really impressed with the rest of the park and had a lot of fun meeting all the other animals you look after. We will definitely be recommending a visit to all our friends and family.
We were both very sad to read about the passing of Humphrey last week. However we feel honoured to have had the privilege to meet and feed him when we visited & we could see how well loved and looked after he was by keepers and visitors alikeThank you again for a brilliant day outLouise and Laura

LETTER OF THE WEEK
Dear Seaview Wildlife Encounter,
I wasnt sure who to email about this, but i would like to say i had a wonderful day at your zoo. I had a brilliant one to one session with the penguins and everyone was really helpful and friendly. I also like how we were able to interact with the animals around the zoo, from the ducks to the wallabies. It was lovely - so much so, that it has made me realise how much i do love animals, and i have now decided to enrol on an animal management course! - something i've been meaning to do for a while.
Thank you once again,
Rebecca Ellis

LETTER OF THE WEEK
" Dear Sirs,
Just got back from our usual holiday this time on the Isle Of Wight. As I am now elderly and need a walker to assist me, we were wondering where to go suitable. The waitress suggested Flamingo Park. Oh - Flamingos, ducks, once seen - not keen. However, she said very pleasant to walk around & plenty of seats. Hey-ho, somewhere to go.
But my golly we were delighted, Wow factor straight away on entering. So pleasant - the layout, the ducks, birds & animals, everything so interesting. Pleasant helpful staff. 1st class Cafe - everything.
Outstanding hygiene and love and care for the animals and visitors alike. We stayed hours and hours and will visit again at a later date. Truly 5 star on every level. A credit and great asset to the Isle Of Wight.
On relating such to other guests they visited and agreed. AMAZING."
Thank you,
Marina & Stan Phipps

Letter of the Week - from Marion Wade

Image: Pink-Backed Pelican - M.E. Wade - 2009
Marion and Tony Wade have been returning visitors to Seaview Wildlife Encounter over a number of years. Marion regularly enters our 'wildlife photographer of the year' competition and has proven herself to be a talent to be reckoned with! We recently entered some of Marion's photographs taken during her trip to the Park last year onto our website - http://www.seaviewwildlife.com/ (Photo Gallery) - our doing this may have sparked Marion into writing the really warm letter that we've selected as our 'letter of the week' - below. Thank you Marion - we hope to see you and Tony back again really soon and hope you may consider submitting some new photographs in this year's competition.
"Dear Jules,
It was lovely to meet you at the “Wightlife Photography Exhibition” last December. We had a wonderful time, and of course I loved seeing my pictures displayed.
I have just spent a brilliant evening imagining myself back on the Isle of Wight, while looking at your updated web site, which I loved. Then to my surprise I find my pictures in your gallery! So I decided to contact you and say how thrilled I was to see you using them. I also enjoyed reading through all the “Blog” pages, and in doing so I came across your picture of the Pelican, taken as you described, “in the soft morning light, in that unusual pose”, which was really lovely.
We are hoping to visit the island later this year but it will depend on Tony's health. The operation he had in February was successful, so if he continues to make good progress we just may be able to come. If we do, we will definitely be visiting you, as it gives us the opportunity to indulge in our two passions, wildlife and photography. Plus I have never seen Harvest Mice, so I was excited to read you will be having them at your park, and I would love to get a good photo of them. In the meantime, all the best for your new season.
Kindest Wishes,
Marian Wade.
Shropshire"
