2014 SEASON COMES TO A CLOSE

Lovely card and presents for the staff dropped in on our last day of opening

" This is just to say a big thank you to the WHOLE team at Seaview. I have had so much pleasure from having my season pass this year and part of that is down to the amazing team of staff as well as all the animals. Coming here is like stopping the world and getting off, just for a few hours.

A big thank you to the animal care team who made my Keeper For A Day such a brilliant experience and of course Sally (it wouldn't be the same without you)

Hope to see you all next season - Merry Xmas and Happy New Year "

LETTER OF THE WEEK

Another fantastic letter sent in to Team seaview…..

“  Dear Sir / Madam

On the 21st May 2013 we came to Seaview,  last time we came it was Flamingo Park.  We had a wonderful day.  I very much like the Meerkats and was bought by my husband a group of ornaments from the gift shop after we had lunch.  The lady in the shop Sally was very helpful and told us we could have a Meerkat Encounter if available.

I accepted and booked in for 2.15pm that afternoon.  Beccy (keeper) came and fetched me and took me to meet the Meerkats and it was just magical.  The three of them perched on my lap feeding fruit and mealworms it was the highlight of my holiday.  Thank all your staff for my wonderful visit.  Yours sincerely Wendy Graham”

LETTERS OF THE WEEK SENT

We were sent two lovely letters this week from guests visiting the Park and thought we would share these with you. The first from Naomi who is 10 years old (11 in August)

"  Message for the Owner - Today Fathers day I went to the Seaview Wildlife Enclosure and I really enjoyed it - so did my dad!  It's now my favourite place on the Island!  I loved learning all about the animals and feeding them.  I've taken a picture of almost every animal and feeding them ( I hope to enter this years competition) and love every one of them!  I can't pick a favourite!  All I wanted to say was that I really enjoyed myself and I hope to come again.  I'm so glad that you opened the Wildlife Enclosure!

Second Letter from Marie Lorimer who enjoyed a Keeper for a Day Experience with us recently

Dear Fern, Jake and Becky,

I'm back in Yorkshire now and looking at the photos of a very memorable day.  Thanks for making me so welcome and ensuring I had a wonderful time.  I can't choose which I enjoyed the most as I loved the lot even the cockroaches (never thought i'd say that) and it was great to see how you all enjoy your work and the company of animals. A very happy day - thanks again best wishes Marie"

An extra special letter of thanks

We are really delighted and very proud to have received this letter dated Friday 13th April from Mr and Mrs D Atkinson of Cowes, Isle of Wight:
“Dear SirKookie (2) resized 15 Sept 10
I would like to say at the outset that I very rarely write congratulatory letters, there being few occasions where it would seem relevant, but for once I am so impressed that it is time to do just that.
On April 10th we brought two of our granddaughters to take part in a Junior Wildlife Encounter as a birthday treat at Seaview Wildlife Encounter.
We tagged along as they took part in the day’s activities and were amazed at the wonderful quality of the experience they were having.  They haven’t stopped talking about it since …. and nor have we.  They particularly loved the Meerkats, but everything else came a close second!
The lady who was their mentor on the day was Jules.  My wife and I were delighted by her absolute dedication to ensuring that the girls had a marvellous time.  She lavished her kindness and interest on the girls and nothing was too much trouble.  We were also more than impressed by her extraordinary ability to communicate with the animals and birds and she created a magic day for all of us.
Jules took 182 photographs of the girls in action, and the family would like you to know that they are some of the best ever that we have seen to date.

You might be interested to know that my wife and I heard many comments among the crowds watching our girls feeding the animals.  As well as for their own children, the adults would love to have the same experience themselves.  Many of them did not know that the Junior Wildlife Experience was possible, and we thought it might be useful information to you from an advertising viewpoint.
So, our thanks to all of you for a superb experience.  We hope you will pass on our special thanks to Jules.
We will definitely be doing this again.
Yours truly,
Derek Atkinson”
Our sincere thanks go to Mr and Mrs Atkinson for taking the time to write and send this letter and for their warm, positive, heart-felt feedback.  It means so much to all of us.
