With all the excitement of Isle of Pink (Breast Cancer Awareness) being launched last week I nearly forgot to include news of Dippy’s recent “dancing on ice” escapade! Dippy waddled delightedly into Planet Ice at Ryde after being invited by rink manager Lorna Cotton to launch a special ice dancing event .
“Dippy, the handsome Humboldt Penguin from Seaview Wildlife Encounter was invited to launch a special event at Planet Ice Rink in Ryde at the end of last week.
Dippy, donned a red bow tie for the occasion when he met Kyran Bracken MBE – Winner of ‘Dancing on Ice 2007’ - who compered the ice skating evening events that took place on 1st, 2nd and 3rd September. Celebrities included Daniel Whiston the ‘Dancing on Ice’ winner in 2006 and 2010.”
